In HepG2 cells, 5-Iodotubercidin showed inhibition of total lipid syntheses with an IC of 8μM. A cell based Alamar Blue cytotoxicity assay was used in parallel to differentiate the effect on the inhibition of lipid synthesis versus potential cytotoxicity. Under identical incubation conditions, com

Although TP53 status has been shown to play a role in ATR inhibition and platinum resistance [7], [27], [38], in inhibition of ATM and sensitivity to IR [39], and in the activation of Chk1 and Chk2 [3], [4], ATM and ATR signaling can occur through the p38MAPK/MK2 pathway in p53-deficient AMD-070 hyd

  2024-08-08

The enzyme Arginase 1 (ARG1) plays a role in the hepatic urea cycle by hydrolyzing L-arginine to L-ornithine and urea [13]. In the context of macrophages and MDSCs, ARG1 expression redirects L-arginine metabolism to abolish cytotoxic nitric oxide production [14], suppress T-cell function [15], [16],

  2024-08-08

The MOB and AOB are important in ungulates (Keller and Levy, 2012, Sanchez-Andrade and Kendrick, 2009), which rely heavily on odorant information for social interactions (Baum and Cherry, 2015, Keller and Levy, 2012, Osada et al., 2014, Villagran and Ungerfeld, 2013). The release of GABA and glutama

Methods and materials Results Discussion GPCR regulation in response to agonist stimulation is common to nearly all GPCRs and is essential in physiological systems to limit persistent signalling. In this study we have investigated the [Pyr1]apelin-13-induced trafficking and desensitization

Does TIPARP contribute to the diverse species sensitivity to TCDD toxicity? In chick embryo hepatocytes TIPARP was reported to mediate the TCDD-dependent suppression of hepatic gluconeogenesis, by reducing cellular NAD+ levels and reducing PCK1 expression, suggesting that ADP-ribosylation enhance

Similar to V1, the temporal neocortex of mammals, including the primary auditory cortex (A1), is densely innervated by 5-HT fibers originating mainly in the dorsal raphe nucleus (Campbell et al., 1987, Harding and Paxinos, 2004, Törk, 1990), and the major AEBSF of 5-HTRs are expressed throughout th

Introduction The lysosomal storage disorder Gaucher disease (Mendelian Inheritance in Man, OMIM #230800) results from the recessively inherited deficiency of lysosomal glucocerebrosidase (GCase, EC 3.2.1.45), caused by mutations in the gene GBA1 (MIM# 606463) located on chromosome 1q21. Interestingly, this situation might be changed by the immunological context, in particular by the cytokines encountered during differentiation or activation.
