Endotoxin induced-pulmonary MI-77301 is a reproducible finding in various animal models Leeper-Woodford et al., 1991, Weitzberg et al., 1993 and is also a feature of human sepsis where it may affect right ventricular function (Vincent, 1998). Mechanisms such as vasoconstriction and leukocyte aggreg

Conclusion The following is the supplementary data related to this article. Conflict of interest Author contributions Heart transplantation is the most important treatment for end-stage heart failure. Ischemia/reperfusion injury is a common condition during transplantation surgery and is

• br Biochemical properties and post translational

  2022-08-12

Biochemical properties and post-translational modification of GCAPs GCAPs are hydrophobic proteins that are likely permanently bound to their GC target under physiological conditions [5]. They interact with the photoreceptor GCs through the intracellular domains (reviewed in [17]). GCAP1 has been

• We previously evaluated the immuno modulatory efficacy

  2022-08-12

We previously evaluated the immuno-modulatory efficacy of GSNO in different EAE models and reported prophylactic and therapeutic efficacy of GSNO against the clinical disease of EAE [22], [36]. GSNO inhibited the IL-6-induced STAT3 activation (Tyr705 phosphorylation) by S-nitrosylation of the STAT3

• Using embelin and its analogs as surrogate GPR

  2022-08-12

Using embelin and its analogs as surrogate GPR84 agonists we discovered that GPR84 couples to G12 and G13 signaling pathways in addition to Gi, linking receptor function to Rho/Rac signaling and modulation of the cytoskeleton. In primary human macrophages, GPR84 activation leads to Gβγ signaling, Er

• The physiological role of lactate induced

  2022-08-12

The physiological role of lactate-induced antilipolytic effects is less clear. It has been speculated that GPR81 mediates the inhibition of lipolysis during intensive exercise, a condition which results in high systemic lactate plasma concentrations 9, 10. Owing to oxygen shortage resulting from int

• Modulation of the cannabinoid system has been reported

  2022-08-12

Modulation of the cannabinoid system has been reported to exert anti-parkinsonian properties through different mechanisms. On one hand, cannabinoids have neuroprotective properties in different rodent models of PD, both through a CB1/CB2 receptor-independent mechanism (Lastres-Becker et al., 2005) a

• We also noticed that acetic acid

  2022-08-12

We also noticed that acetic acid by itself (used to induce pain) increased spinal cord levels of KYNA (see Fig. 5). The most rational explanation of this finding is based on the possibility that acetic acid and KYNA share the same transport systems and the finding is therefore not surprising. Altho

• We found that most antigenic regions in GlyT

  2022-08-12

We found that most antigenic regions in GlyT1C are located in the second half of the GlyT1C-terminus, which is in concert with previously published results (Olivares et al., 1994). We however further show that in contrast to epitopes 554–625 which are affected by calcium only minimally, the epitopes

  2022-08-12

However, Gingrich and Hen reported that absence of the gene at all stages of ontogenesis of mice may interfere with the normal developmental program and/or the organism may undergo changes in other systems to compensate for gene absence (46). In addition, potentially altered maternal behavior of GPR

• Ning et al showed that LPC appeared to increase

  2022-08-12

Ning et al. showed that LPC 18:1 appeared to increase insulin release through both GPR119-dependent and -independent mechanisms (Ning et al., 2008). In our study, we have shown that not only GPR119 but also GPR40 and GPR55 participate in LPC-stimulated insulin secretion (Fig. 4, Fig. 5) and target

• The transporter was successfully expressed in MSCs and HEK

  2022-08-12

The transporter was successfully expressed in MSCs and HEK 293 cells. In both cell types, the expression of YFP-EAAT2 was confirmed by immunological staining and flow cytometry. The functionality of the transporter was determined by [3H]glutamate uptake assays, and the blood glutamate-grabbing activ

• br Dysregulation of glutamate transporter expression

Dysregulation of glutamate transporter expression and function Aberrant glutamate transporter function and expression are associated with various neurological disorders. • GLI proteins activate or repress

  2022-08-12

GLI proteins activate or repress transcription of their target genes by binding to a similar sequence motif within a cis-regulatory module (CRM) (Hallikas and Taipale, 2006, Peterson et al., 2012). Transcriptional responses to the HH pathway can be elicited either by de-repression of GLI-R or in oth
