Results Discussion AP-1, a heterodimeric transcription factor comprising various combinations of FOS, JUN, MAF, ATF, and CREB family proteins, has been known to play a pivotal role in leukocyte development for decades (Liebermann et al., 1998; Valledor et al., 1998). However, its participation

We further conducted stratified analyses to observe changes in enzyme levels across the periods by subgroups. Fig. 1 shows the changes in GPx levels by subgroups of age, sex, and smoking status. In all participants, GPx levels decreased when air pollution levels declined but increased after the Olym

Acknowledgements Introduction The angiogenic ocular conditions represent the most common cause of blindness in developed countries [1]. It can affect all ages, for example, retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) in infants [2], [3], diabetic retinopathy (DR) [4] in working age adults and age-related

  2025-02-19

Recently, different kinds of Aβ aggregation inhibitors have been reported, including small molecules [8], peptides [9], and nanoparticles (NPs) [10]. The working mechanisms of the inhibitors are mostly to bind or adsorb Aβ molecules and to affect the conformational changes followed by blocking the a

Methods Results Discussion Agitation in dementia has recently been defined as a syndrome characterized by inferred or observed evidence of emotional distress associated with at least one behavioral component, i.e. excessive motor activity, verbal or physical aggression (Cummings et al., 201

  2025-02-19

Aberrant lipid levels are associated with various disorders, including vascular diseases and diabetes. Furthermore, important events support the idea that lipids, especially cholesterol and its derivatives, have a fundamental role in the physiopathology of AD. The alzheimer's association is rich in

Adenosine receptors are proposed to play proangiogenic role in vascular and immune 623 receptor within microenvironment of hypoxic tissues to maintain tissue oxygenation in chronic ischemic condition [9]. Adenosine also stimulates the production of angiopoetin-1, VEGF and Interleukin-6 (IL6) via ade

Conclusions Several lines of evidence have been established, which support the adenosine kinase hypothesis of epileptogenesis, which is based on a sequence of events leading from acute Imiquimod injury to initial downregulation of ADK, rise in extracellular adenosine, changes in astrocytic adeno

Materials and methods Results Discussion The BV-tag-based electrochemiluminescence immunoassay is an extremely sensitive assay. It has been employed for detecting analytes present in only picogram quantities (e.g., bacterial toxins [26], 2'-fluoro-dUTP derivative [19]), measuring the activit

  2025-02-18

Molecular docking is widely used to predict the interaction between an enzyme and its inhibitors. This is a computational simulation approach that can be used as a tool to investigate the structure-activity relationship of ACE inhibitory peptides (Goodsell, 2009). It has been recently shown that ACE

The consensus amino cx-5461 platelet recognition sequence for p38α substrates is (Ser/Thr)Pro (Cuadrado and Nebreda, 2010), typically assisted by upstream docking motifs (Remenyi et al, 2005, Sharrocks et al, 2000). 2025-02-18

Aurora kinases were initially identified as protein kinases essential for error-free chromosome segregation during mitosis and meiosis. Aurora A appears to control premetaphase events, such as bipolar spindle assembly 3, 4, with Aurora B and C directing metaphase and postmetaphase events, including
